Don’t Miss the 4th of July Fireworks NYC

Don’t miss the fun as the 4th of July Fireworks in NYC explode over the Brooklyn Bridge and East River

It wouldn't be the Fourth of July in New York City without the annual Macy's fireworks show, now in its 28th year of dazzling millions of visitors.

The 4th of July Fireworks in NYC first debuted in 1976 to commemorate the nation's bicentennial. The iconic display will return to the East River this year, after having taken place over the Hudson River for several years. The pyrotechnic spectacle will be set off from the world-famous Brooklyn Bridge and from barges positioned on the lower East River below.

The 4th of July Fireworks in NYC is widely known as the nation’s largest display of patriotic fireworks. And now, with the fireworks being viewed from above the national historic landmark of the Brooklyn Bridge, even more New Yorkers in the outer boroughs than ever before will be able to enjoy the free show.

The best viewing spots will be from Brooklyn Bridge Park and the Brooklyn Heights Promenade, and along the east side of Lower Manhattan. Visitors who are planning on heading to where the action is, are advised to arrive by 5pm to snag a good spot (the light show starts at 9pm).

Keep the celebration going by staying with the Wyndam Midtown 45 Hotel. Centrally located in midtown Manhattan, the Wyndam Midtown is just minutes away from the best fireworks viewing spots. For reservations see our website, or call us at 1-212-867-5100
